The Shires Removal Group was born in 1989 from the parent company of P. Sweeting Removals and Storage, a family run business, which was established in 1974. This company then joined with other companies covering all of the shire counties including Yorkshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire giving us national coverage.

The head office is now located in Kinsley, West Yorkshire where the central storage warehouse of 1,500,000 cubic feet is used entirely for containerised storage of customers' furniture and belongings.

We can provide you, the customer, with all the packing materials required in connection with your removal. We supply specially produced wardrobe cartons to hang your clothes in during transit and also linen cartons and other cartons specially produced for the removal industry. As well as all the packing materials, our vehicles are equipped with approximately 150 thick woollen blankets (again, specially produced for the removal industry.) Other equipment provided includes piano wheels, sack carts and special stair climbing trolleys.

As you can see, we are a well established company with all the correct equipment to undertake your removal. All our staff are well trained and are very courteous and understand the frustration that can be caused by moving home.
